The project is built around a consortium of 6 partners (3 companies, including 2 cooperatives, 1 local authority and 2 associations) in 5 European countries.
Cooperation is at the heart of the project, which also aims to increase the partners’ skills in ecological transition issues by sharing their expertise and networks.

FRANCE : Institut Régional de Formation à l’Environnement et au Développement Durable – IRFEDD (Project leader)

IRFEDD is a cooperative society of collective interest created in 2009 which has 3 main activities and whose purpose is the development of skills at the service of sustainable development and ecological transition:

  • Engineering and running vocational and diploma training courses, on a continuous or sandwich basis.
  • Carrying out forward-looking studies and support initiatives on the evolution of professions, skills and training.
  • The development of cooperation projects in France and Europe, in the vocational training and adult education sectors, notably through the ERASMUS+ program

Since its creation, IRFEDD has set itself the goal of supporting all the resources scattered across the region in the consolidation of a coherent training offer. This training offer is one of the levers of a proactive environmental policy in favor of sustainable development and ecological transition.

FRANCE : Laboratoire d’Intelligence Collective et ArtificielleLICA

LICA is a cooperative created in 2017 whose mission is to support organizations and individuals in their transition by addressing three major issues:

  • cooperation
  • AI ethics
  • social and environmental issues

LICA’s expertise lies at the crossroads of training and support, project engineering and research activities, and design. Its approach is innovative, tailor-made, and multidisciplinary. This multidisciplinary approach has enabled LICA to develop multi-stakeholder innovation projects in support of the ecological transition at the European level.

In 2023, LICA launched the Tiers-Lab des Transitions project, a demonstration site for social and environmental transitions in the heart of Marseille.

ITALY : Centoform

Centoform is a 24-year-old vocational and educational training center located in Cento, Emilia Romagna, a region characterized by a strong, dynamic economy with a sectoral focus on mechanical engineering and extensive university research networks.

Centoform is an expert in the design and coordination of training programs for jobseekers and post-baccalaureate employees, with a focus on in-company apprenticeships. Between 2007 and 2019, over 2,500 apprentices and more than 3,000 trainees took part in the organization’s projects.

Also, very active in European cooperation through the ERASMUS program, Centoform pilots projects linked to the challenges of skills development and continuing training on a variety of themes: innovation, green economy, circular economy, new technologies.

GREECE : Academy of Entrepreneurship Astiki Etaireai – AKEP

The Academy of Entrepreneurship AKEP is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 by Athens’ historic educational association “HFAISTOS”. Its aim is to create a healthier entrepreneurial environment at national and European level, and to support people (especially young people) who wish to turn their innovative and social entrepreneurial ideas into reality.

The association’s main objective is to cultivate entrepreneurial attitudes and transfer the necessary knowledge to public and private organizations involved in youth and social entrepreneurship. For this reason, AKEP has been one of the intermediary organizations in Greece for the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme since 2012. Its role is to facilitate the non-formal learning experience of Greek social entrepreneurs across Europe and connect them with experienced entrepreneurs while raising their awareness of the principles of sustainable development.

AKEP is a driving force in the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, fostering entrepreneurship, employability, and technical skills through a strong focus on non-formal entrepreneurial learning.

PORTUGAL : Municipio de Lousada

Lousada is a town of almost 50,000 inhabitants in northern Portugal, in the Porto region.

The municipality of Lousada is focused on achieving sustainable development, promoting and revitalizing the municipality on an economic, social, environmental and cultural level, optimizing the use of available resources and setting up a public administration capable of meeting the municipality’s growth objectives and the needs of its citizens.

The promotion of environmental protection measures through environmental awareness and the enhancement of green spaces is one of the main objectives of the municipality of Lousada, which develops environmental education for citizens, supports the creation of conservation areas and environmental jobs, and encourages the reconnection of local citizens with their rural landscape.

Since 2021, Lousada has implemented an innovative and pioneering sustainable development program, integrating all types of stakeholders in active citizenship: private companies, parishes, schools, NGOs… The entire educational system has been reoriented towards environmental actions. The territory has also been subject to interventions aimed at protecting priority areas for nature conservation, controlling invasive species and improving degraded areas. SERBIA : Young ambassadors -YA

Young Ambassadors (Mladi ambasadori in Serbian) is a youth organization established in 2014 with the aim of empowering young people through actions aimed at multi-sector cooperation and the development of everyone with the idea of future contributions to the development of the local community.

The association’s activities are based on three pillars:

  • Youth participation: offering young people the opportunity to participate actively in the local community through various activities and initiatives.
  • Social Economy: creating an incentive environment for entrepreneurs and social workers through advocacy, networking, education and promotion of social impact enterprises.
  • Innovations with impact: creating the conditions for the implementation of innovations (digital solutions, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence) that will have a positive impact on society and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations’ sustainable development goals

Since its inception, the association has implemented nearly 50 projects and over 300 educational workshops linked to the personal and professional development of people from different social groups within the community. Key activities focus on culture and the creative industries, entrepreneurship, the social economy, market placement and the sustainable development of the local community.
